Yet another Short Sale!

Posted by Connie Gohata on Wednesday, October 7, 2015
Wells Fargo Bank has a lot of foreclosure business and is still going strong.  I have a bank account with them and they own one of my rental properties (I say one, but right now, I only have ONE). BUT I'm not in foreclosure, so that is great!  I just finished a long, drawn out short sale with WFB and it would have been shorter had we not changed buyers 4 times and then the last buyer wanted to change the price at the last minute, which made the bank have to go back to decide yes or no.  They said no, but then the buyer decided that the market was going UP and they could make it work!  Whew!

Anyway, I may be representing a buyer in a Wells Fargo Bank short sale - depends on if the seller accepts the offer - but since the seller agency is new and they are actually people I know, they will want me to negotiate the deal.  Usually it is the seller side who does this.  If we get this deal, I hope to get a bit more $$ as the negotiator - who has to be a licensed real estate sales/broker.

Short Sales aren't dead - just fewer and further apart!
