Investing in Yourself

I will be working with new agents in the near future.  Are you looking for a new way to get in the "game" of Real Estate?  Perhaps working at an 8-5 job is not for you anymore.  Working as a Real Estate Agent gives you more leeway with your time.  You can settle in to a system and routine that suits you.  This job can also be lucrative, but of course, you have to work at it.  Homes don't sell themselves.

The first thing you need to do to become a sales agent is to get your Real Estate Sales License.  Here in California, you need to take 3 classes and pass the Real Estate License exam.  This really is not that difficult to do.  What's stopping you?

But the license is the just the first thing.  Once you get your license, you have to be trained in many things.  These things include - how to fill out the RPA - Residential Purchase Agreement and all the other forms that you need to know.

You also need to know Real Estate Law and ethics.

BUT the first thing you must do after you get your license (or even while you are waiting for it to arrive), find a great broker to work for, one who offers training and mentoring.  This will help jump-start your career.  Once you get your license and join a broker, you much join the same Real Estate Association as your broker.  Usually, when you join, you will also join CAR and NAR and the MLS.

Need a great broker?  Call me!
